Larry M. DeDonato, O.D.

Dr. Larry DeDonato attended University of California,Irvine and University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a doctorate from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. He was on the faculty of Southern California College of Optometry for six years teaching primary eye care, contact lens fitting and ocular physiology. Dr. DeDonato has been active in various Delano community organizations. He is a past president of the Kern County Optometric Society, a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. DeDonato keeps up on the latest advances in eye care through many hours of annual continuing education.

Quality Control

All prescription glasses are carefully inspected to make sure the lens parameters meet the highest optical standards and match the prescription determined by Dr. DeDonato. We also accept prescriptions from other doctors. You may bring in your prescription, then have new glasses made to the same careful specifications we use for patients who have received their examination in our office.

Quality Service

In our office, all new glasses are adjusted for you when they are delivered. After we have notified you that your glasses are ready, you may pick them up at your earliest convenience. You do not need to schedule an appointment. Technicians are available during the lunch hour to adjust or repair your glasses. Any further adjustments you may need, during the lifetime of the glasses, are done free of charge.

Dr. DeDonato works closely with local ophthalmologists, internists, pediatricians, family doctors, school nurses, and teachers to provide full scope care to patients with special needs. We will be glad to help schedule your appointments for these referrals.
